Oneplus Nord : Everything We Know So far [Update- 12th July]

There’s a lot of Hype around Oneplus’s Upcoming Mid-range Smartphone. Oneplus officially announced it’s name, Oneplus Nord. There were lots of Rumours around the Name of the device like Oneplus Z, Oneplus 8 Lite, etc, But it’s been clear that it’ll be Called Oneplus Nord. According to Brand, “Nord” will be all different Series and the first Device of the series will be Called “Oneplus Nord”. Oneplus already created an Instagram account named Oneplus.nord. The Brand revealed the few details about the device via Documentary called “New beginnings” On IGTV.  Here’re the details about Much-Hyped Oneplus Nord.

Why Oneplus Nord?

We’ve heard about Oneplus Mid-range smartphone before the Launch Of Oneplus 8 & Oneplus 8 Pro. Oneplus Brand always had a track record of being a Flagship killer Brand but from Oneplus 7 Series Launch, Prices of the devices is getting higher because of the market competition. That’s why Oneplus was working on a Midrange Affordable Smartphone and finally, the device is around the corner, Oneplus Nord.

Oneplus Nord: Design & Display 

First off all talking about Design of the device, We got a sneak peek to the device from the IGTV Video. We can clearly see the front of the device, It’s been clear that Oneplus Nord will feature a Dual Punch-hole Selfie camera and Flat Panel. Dual Punch-Hole camera rumoured to house 32MP Primary sensor with 8MP Wide-angle sensor. We can also see USB Type-C Port and Sim tray at the Bottom. 

 Talking about Back of the Device, It Also got revealed via Amazon’s Landing Page. Where we can see the Gorgeous design of the Oneplus Nord. We can see the Rear Camera lay-out and Glass Sandwich Design, Which Looks Premium.

 

[Update- 12th July]- Oneplus Officially Announced Some Features On Amazon India Page

Oneplus Officially announced Few Features On Amazon India Page. These Features Includes Fluid AMOLED Display and Quad Camera Package. However, Oneplus haven’t revealed Screen Refresh rate but We can expect it to 90Hz AMOLED Display.

Oneplus Nord: Hardware & Software 

Talking about Hardware of the Oneplus Nord, Oneplus Officially confirmed that It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G-enabled Chipset. So, Oneplus Nord will Support 5G Network Out-of-the-box. there’s no information about RAM & Storage options but we can expect it feature minimum 6GB of RAM & 128GB of Built-in Storage.

From the Software side, Oneplus Nord will run on Android 10 based Oxygen OS.

Oneplus Nord: Camera

According to TechRadar, Oneplus Nord will have flagship-level cameras. 

Today, Oneplus also officially confirmed that Oneplus Nord will Support OIS(Optical Image Stabilisation), Which is Just Amazing. I Hope More Mid-range smartphones will come with this feature.

Also, trusted leaker Max J has suggested that It may feature quad-camera set-up at the Rear. I’ve already mentioned about Front cameras of the Device which is Dual Punch-hole cameras.

According to androidcentral, Oneplus Nord will feature 48MP quad-camera Set-up at the Rear which Includes 48MP Primary Sensor Coupled with 8MP Wide-angle lens, 5MP Macro lens and 2MP Depth-sensor.

[Update- 17th July] Camera Specs Revealed On Oneplus Forum

Camera Specs revealed via Oneplus Forum, Which Suggests 48MP Primary Sony IMX586 Sensor,8MP Ultra-Wide angle lens,5MP Depth-sensor and a Macro Lens.

Front camera Includes 32MP Primary Sensor coupled with 8MP Ultra Wide angle lens with 105-degree FOV.

Oneplus Nord: Price & Launch Date

Talking about Price of the Oneplus Nord, Oneplus co-Founder and CEO Pete Lau reveals that “ Nord will be our first product under $500(Rs.37,750) In recent years. For Oneplus and the whole team, it’s a massive challenge.” We can expect it Launch around Rs.30,000 In India.

Till Now, Oneplus haven’t confirmed Official launch date Of The Oneplus Nord but recent rumours suggest that Oneplus Nord will be Launching on 21st July via AR Mode Globally. Oneplus to Announce something Today (July 7th), It can be 2nd part of IGTV Documentary.

Another Oneplus Device “Oneplus BE2028” Showed up On Geekbench Listing.

According to Geekbench Listing, The Device will be Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 SoC. And It will run on Android 10.
