Now, Oneplus has decided to enter in the Budget segment to compete against Brands Such as Realme, Xiaomi, etc. Oneplus launched two new Series of Smart Tvs In India, which are U-series and Y-series. The Y-series includes two sizes, 32-inch and 43-inch and Price starts at Rs.12,999/-. The U-series includes only one Variant that is 55-inch and It’s Priced at Rs.49,999/-.
New Oneplus Smart TVs: Y-series (43Y1 & 32Y1)
As I mentioned earlier, Y-series includes two different sizes, 32-inch and 43-inch. The 32-inch variant comes with HD-ready(1366 x 768) and 43-inch variant comes with Full-HD(1920 X 1080) resolution.
Talking about the Design of these TVs, Oneplus Y-series TVs comes with Premium looking bezel-less LED Panel and thicker Bottom bezel, where Oneplus logo placed. The 32-inch Variant offers 91.4% Screen/Body ratio and The 43-inch Variant Offers 88.5% Screen/Body ratio.
Talking About Display, Both of the Variant comes with DCI-P3 93% Colour Gamut and Gamma Engine For Picture Enhancement. Both Variant also comes with the same LED Panel(VA) as the U-series 55-inch Variant.
Under the Hood, Y-series TVs are Powered by a MediaTek Chipset, coupled with a 1GB of RAM and 8GB of In-Built storage. Both of the TVs are running on Android TV 9.0 with features such as Built-in Google Assistance and Built-in Google Chromecast. Both TVs also comes with some Pre-installed Apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Youtube and Playstore.
Talking about Sound, Y-series TVs comes with 20W Speaker (10 x 2 Units) with the Support of Dolby Audio. The Y-series Tvs also includes some interesting features such as Kids Mode, Game Mode and OxygenPlay.
Taking about Connectivity, The Y-series TVs Comes with the Support of only 2.4GHz WIFI Support and Bluetooth 5.0. As per the Ports, 2x USB Ports, 2x HDMI Ports, RF Port, Ethernet and AV Port. Talking about remote, The Y-series TVs comes with the older Netflix remote that was launched last year.
New Oneplus Smart TVs: U-Series (55U1)
As I mentioned earlier, The U-series Includes only one variant that is 55-inch.
Talking about Design, It remains almost same as Y-series with some extra premium touches like 95% Screen/Body ratio, a Higher resolution that is 4K(3840×2160).
The U-series Smart TV comes with 55-inch 4K LED Panel (VA Panel) with the support of DCI-P3 93% Colour gamut, Gamma Engine, HDR, HDR10+, GLS and Dolby Vision. It also comes with features such as MEMC (Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation), Oneplus Connect, Dynamic Contrast, Super Resolution, Noise Reduction and more.
Under the Hood, The U-series 55-inch Smart TV is powered by a Quad-core Cortex A53 MediaTek MT5887 Chipset with Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of In-Built Storage, Along with the Android TV 9.0 out-of-the-box. It also comes with some Pre-installed Apps such as Netflix, Prime Video, Youtube, Spotify, Google Playstore, etc.
Talking about Sound, The Oneplus TV U1 is equipped with 30W Speakers(4 Units) with the support of Dolby Atmos and Dolby Audio.
Talking about Connectivity, The Oneplus TV U1 comes with 3xHDMI Ports, 2x USB Ports, RF Port, Ethernet, and AV Port. It also Supports Dual-Band WIFI 2.4GHz/5.0GHz and Bluetooth 5.0. Talking about remote, It is New White coloured Remote with Dedicated Keys for Netflix, Prime Video, Google Assistant, Volume rocker and more.
